Pallets

Let me urge you first, if you haven’t already, to read our “Introduction”, you will find a significant amount of information about the production of our pallets there. Unakafp provides customers with unbeatable service.

The 32 acres that we are located on allow plenty of room to inventory your pallets either in a dry shed, on a concrete surface or on our lot. Being able to inventory your pallets cuts down significantly on lead times. If we inventory your pallets we can deliver them to you within 24 hours.

We control all of our trucking operations so this will ensure on time deliveries to you. We are also IPPC certified, meaning that we have a certified heat treatment facility and we can heat treat your pallets or lumber to the IPPC standards needed for exporting. Precut Lumber

As you may have read under “Introduction,” we buy the whole tree from independent loggers in our area. In order to have an edge on the competition we operate a computerized Pendu scragg mill and Pendu precut system.

These systems enable us to accurately and efficiently produce precut lumber both for our own pallet production as well as for sales to outside customers.

The computer set works on these machines ensure that we are most proficient in yielding as much grade lumber from the logs as possible.

This setup from buying the whole tree to sawing our own lumber allows us to have an edge on our competitors because we do not have to purchase our precut lumber from outside sources, we are able to proficiently produce this lumber in house.

BIOFUEL/CHIPS

Unaka Forest Products, Inc. goes Green! I know you must be asking whether it is possible for a lumber company to go green. It certainly is! Trees are America’s most renewable resource.

According to the US Forest Service, approximately two and a half million acres of trees are planted annually. This annual planting roughly equals the size of the State of Connecticut.

As a pallet manufacturer, we produce and sell thousands of tons annually of biomass which in turn is sold for biofuel. This has allowed us to serve the growing number of biofuel suppliers that are helping the country become greener. In order to keep this product clean and free from any ground debris such as dirt, gravel, etc., as it is produced it falls directly into our vans. This makes for a better, cleaner, higher-quality product. You will see this process demonstrated in the picture.

The biofuel is used to power boilers. One of the many benefits of consuming biofuel is that it reduces Americas dependency on foreign oil.

Landscaping Mulch

Aged Doubleground Hardwood Landscaping Mulch – Mulch is environmentally friendly and healthy for your plants and soil. It provides the ultimate in natural and long -lasting beautiful color in your landscape.

Our mulch is double ground because the more times it is ground the finer and more uniform the texture. We manufacture and sell this mulch at our Jonesborough location where you can either purchase it on site or have the mulch delivered to your site. Cut out the middle man and buy direct from the manufacturer.
